You're Registered!
Reinforce your knowledge of the Fair Housing Act, addressing what can and cannot be done. Much of this area of the law involves definitions that assist in answering many questions that may arise. The course reviews issues relating to fair housing, including the enforcement of the law and penalties for violating it. A historical perspective of the act is provided as well as scenarios for you to determine whether there are any Fair Housing Act violations. This class satisfies one of the Core Standards requirements under Section 3 - Consumer Outreach.

 Cheryl has been an attorney and real estate instructor for more than 20 years. She is the Director of the REALsmart Real Estate School with the Georgia Real Estate Commission and a certification instructor with the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Partners in Education Program.
She does not sell real estate. She is a REALTOR® member in order to participate with the association and instruct. She attends all GAR® forms committee meetings and sits on
several forms subcommittees. She builds & delivers classes weekly for real estate agents, lenders and attorneys. She writes a real estate blog which also posts as a LinkedIn newsletter and co-hosts a real estate podcast. She sits on numerous forms and professional development committees in Georgia and nationally.
She is a member of the Board of Governors for the Atlanta REALTOR® Education Foundation.
