Despite consumers’ assumptions that REALTORS are outgoing and networking comes naturally, in fact, many REALTORS dread networking. They perceive it as an awkward, forced, and unnatural exchange – which only leads to sweaty palms, uncomfortable silences, and unproductive conversations. So, how do you leave those shaky knees behind and become better at networking? First, you attend this program! You’ll leave with solid strategies and techniques (that we’ll practice in class) that will allow you to (1) feel more comfortable in networking settings, (2) make a positive impression, and (3) generate new contacts. Linda is a course provider, author and instructor in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. She is on the Florida REALTORS® faculty, teaches classes through the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Partner’s in Education program, is a Tennessee Real Estate Commission-approved instructor and provider and is an instructor for NAR’s 2-day Green Designation: People, Property, Planet, Prosperity and several other ABR elective courses. Linda has been writing and teaching CE courses since 2010. These courses are centered on Environmental Concerns, Green/Energy Efficiency, Commercial Real Estate, Development, Construction, Contracts, Networking, and Negotiating. Linda brings a unique perspective to the real estate field as she has a MS degree in Ecology and 20+ years of experience as an environmental consultant. Linda uses this expertise to assist Owners and Buyers regarding the intricacies of developing/optimizing/selling and buying environmentally-challenged property. Linda also specializes in all aspects of commercial real estate. In addition, for more than 10 years Linda was actively involved with the local Home Builders and Contractors Association allowing her to gain important contacts and knowledge on “green” building techniques and improving a home’s energy efficiency. She has been awarded NAR’s Green Designation. Linda uses these skills to effectively market and sell Green/Energy Efficient homes and to work with buyers to find homes that match their “Green” needs.
