Bias Override: Overcoming Barriers to Fair Housing helps real estate professionals interrupt stereotypical thinking so they can avoid fair housing pitfalls and provide equal professional service to every customer or client. Participants will examine the history of bias in real estate, learn about the mind science of identity, study how implicit bias can result in fair housing violations, and engage in interactive exercises to enhance communication skills and business relationships with clients of all backgrounds.

School Policy: You must be on time and present for the entire session to receive credit.

Dr. Cynthia M. Davis is a dedicated business professional known for her ability to connect with people in a diplomatic and approachable manner. She is adaptable, poised, and able to maintain a positive outlook, even under pressure. With a strong work ethic and a keen ability to bring ideas from concept to completion. With an extensive background in education across multiple platforms, Cynthia is passionate about teaching and is known for her engaging and dynamic presentation style in the classroom. 

Her real estate career spans over 30 years, beginning as an agent and evolving into her current roles as broker-owner of ALERT Properties and owner-director of ALERT Real Estate School. She has been actively involved in leadership, serving as the 2016 President of the East Metro Board of REALTORS® and served as advisor for the President and the Board of Directors. She received the honor of REALTOR® of the Year from the same board. 
Cynthia has contributed to the Georgia Association of REAL TORS®, serving on various committees, including Professional Development, Broker's Council, Housing Opportunity, Communication, Special Recognition, Professional Standards, and the Executive Committee. She currently serves on the Scholarship Committee, as a Governor for the Graduate, REAL TOR® Institute (GRl), and as Vice-Chair for the Professional Standards Committee.
