Teach students about several of the legal aspects that agents managing rental property need to know including, but not limited to, where to reference Georgia’s Landlord Tenant laws, requirements for handling move ins, move outs, and security deposits, and several other state laws with which property managers must comply such as the Fair Housing, license law, trust accounting, workers compensation law, and dealing with unpaid water bills. References to each of these subjects will be provided to students for easy reference after class.

Mike Nelson
Mike Nelson has a degree in Real Estate from the University of Georgia, is a licensed broker, has the GRI designation from NAR, and has the RMP and MPM designations from NARPM. GAR selected Mike to teach property management for the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) Program and the Georgia Real Estate Commission selected Mike to serve on their Education Advisory Committee to represent the property management industry. Mike is the managing broker of Excalibur Homes, LLC (CRMC) which represents about 1300 rental homes in the Metro Atlanta area.
