Requirements for participating in a virtual class:


  1. Your device must have a video webcam, microphone, and speakers. (You are required to enable video so that we can monitor attendance.)
  2. You need to set up a free Zoom account (https://zoom.us/) prior to the class. (Your free 40-minute account will allow you easy access to our ZOOM Classroom account.)
  3. You are expected to attend the entire class session (except during breaks) just as if you were sitting in a classroom.
  4. After the class, you will be emailed electronic affidavit and class evaluation links. To receive CE credit, you must complete both.

A link to participate in the class and student materials will be sent to registered students the business day before the class.

Class Description
Learn to communicate without subjecting yourself to potential liability. You will apply theories of laws affecting the listing and sale of real property to minimize liability and maximize referrals. Seventeen issues are discussed including loan assumptions, commissions, fair housing, kickbacks, referral fees and stigmatized property. Is what you say going to cost you?

School Policy: You must be on time and present for the entire session to receive credit.

Cheryl King
Cheryl King is a Founding Partner of Sparks|King|Watts|Reddick and the Managing Attorney for the firm’s Alpharetta office. She serves on the firm’s Management Committee and oversees Support Services, Compliance, Education, and Business Development. Cheryl is active in the Real Estate Section of the Bar. Cheryl is the Director of the firm’s Infinity Institute and frequently provides presentations to attorneys, mortgage companies and real estate companies on loan fraud, contract creation, contract interpretation, cyber security and social media. She is a certified Social Media Professional and a certified instructor for the Georgia Association of REALTORS Partners in Education Department. Cheryl received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University and a Juris Doctor degree from University of Richmond Law School. While attending University of Richmond, she was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology. Cheryl is a licensed REALTOR. While she does not sell real estate, her membership as a licensee provides her the ability to participate as a member of the Georgia Association of REALTORS for which she sits on the Legislative Affairs Committee, Professional Development Committee and the GAR Forms Exhibits Subcommittee.
